Social Media Worthy Interiors

Want an Instagram or TikTok worthy space? These design tips will help you create an appealing and versatile space for all of your social media content.

Color

Being an influencer, your image matters a lot. Take a moment to consider what you will be filming. If it’s certain products, make sure that the color of your space works nicely with the packaging of the product. If you are filming yourself, think of what backdrops would appeal to your appearance. For example, if you have red hair and green eyes, maybe a blue or emerald green background would look the best. Or, if you are a Youtuber and your branding has a lot of pink in it, go with a pick background too so your brand becomes more and more recognizable. Not only will choosing your colors wisely look good, it will make you stand out as a more professional influencer.

Experience

Many influencers have a certain phrase or symbol that automatically makes their audience think of them. If you happen to have a phrase that resonates with you, get a light fixture or find a way to display it in your space. This will make the experience in your room that much more exciting and create a lot of photo opportunities.

Another way to add the element of experience is to make your space look pleasing. Make sure everything is organized neatly and the design choices speak to you and your brand.

Of course, you will want to make the experience of the space most practical to you. Do you sit often when you are filming? Are you posing for photos? Do you move around a lot while creating content? Make sure your space is designed in a way that fits your needs.

Patterns

Patterns are a great way to incorporate a unique twist on your space. Consider adding an accent wall to change up the background every once in a while.

Removable Décor/ Designated Interior Designer

Social media platforms are always changing, trends are always in and then out. Before starting on your platform worthy space, think about how you are going to change it up. Removable décor is everywhere lately, but it can be hard to find high-quality products that can easily be switched up. Some great examples of removable décor that I recommend would be peel and stick wallpaper, pillow covers, command hooks and wall art.

If you are looking for a more professional and polished look, I would look into hiring an interior designer. Interior designers will study up one exactly what you envision for your space and bring it to life. If you end up enjoying their work, keep them in your contacts when you need help mixing up the space for a new look that still maintains your brand. Especially if you don’t know much about designing interior spaces, it can save you a lot of time and money in the long run to hire a professional.
