One Hour Home Projects

Do you ever want to update your house but don’t want the 2-3 week time frame that comes with it? Lucky for you, there are a few instant gratification projects out there that should only take about an hour. If you are looking for some quick and easy updates around your home, you have come to the right place.

Is your house feeling a little bland? One way to switch up the look of a room is to add an accent wall. There are many ways that you can do this. You can paint one wall a solid contrasting color, add a peel and stick design, or install a fun patterned peel and stick wallpaper. Any way that you choose to go, this project should not take long at all and it will make your room feel brand new.

If you are realizing that your walls have a bunch of holes in them from past projects and DIY’s, it’s definitely time to fill them up. No matter how much you try to convince yourself that they aren't bothering you, I promise you will feel much better when the job is done. Although the end result is nothing drastic, it will make your home feel nicer and more put together. Some of you may be wondering how to fill holes in a wall. You can use a putty knife and fill them with spackling. After you have applied the spackling, lightly sand over it when it’s dry. Keep in mind that you will need to have some extra paint handy to paint over the white spackle when it is finished.

Another fun and fast project is to update a faucet! This project can be done in less than an hour and it’s really rewarding in the end. It’s crazy how much of a difference a facet can make to a bathroom or kitchen.

Another subtle way to make a big difference is to switch out your lighting. If you have a couple of outdated light fixtures around the house, changing them up could change the whole look of a room. This job can be easy to do and done in under an hour. Source: Wayfair

Lastly, updating cabinet hardware is a super quick job and has the ability to change the look of your cabinets. If you are willing to spend a little more time on this project, painting your cabinets and adding new hardware will create a modern and unique touch to your kitchen.

Hopefully these quick projects got you thinking about ways to keep the excitement going around in your home. Adding new improvements around your home doesn't always have to be a long process.
