Pantone 16-1546, a bright coral shade, has been named color of the year. The renowned color matching system describes "Living Coral" as, "An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge".
Since 2000, Pantone has chosen a "Color of the Year" based on the Color Institute's consulting division. This division is made up of a global team of color experts that analyze each year's color trends in all areas of daily life including entertainment, fashion, upcoming artists, technology, and more.
